A concept pet-care platform for Athens, designed around trust, effortless discovery and zero-friction booking.
Hey, I'm Alexis and I've worked the past 6 years as an in-house web designer in Athens, alongside 3 years of freelancing globally.
Freelancing taught me the business side of design: how to scope projects, brief developers, build long-term client relationships, and make sure the work is commercially viable, not just visually strong.
My bachelor is in Business Administration and I'd like to say I always knew how well it would pair with design, but honestly, I just wanted to make things. The overlap became clearer with time. Most good design projects start with the same questions: why does this exist, who is it for, and how should it work? Those are business questions before they're visual ones.
Over time, I've realised that the part of the work I enjoy most happens before the final interface: understanding people, defining the problem, questioning assumptions, and figuring out how something should work.
That’s what’s pulling me toward UX now. Not as a complete change in direction, but as a natural next step from the kind of work I’ve already been doing.
